Oh, Marceline by chocobojockey Oh, Marceline by chocobojockey
I got to re-wear Marceline this past weekend at ALA, and this time I had an AXE BASS. 8D

My dad and i made it- it's not fully playable, but it's made from real bass parts.

I love it. So much. ='}

How exactly did you do the body? It looks pretty sweet! Also, what does that neck/head does that belong to?

Thanks! The body is just cut/sanded/painted wood, and the neck is an actual bass neck. =)

How long did it take to get it in shape? :O

"what does that neck/head does that belong to?" the pegs look Ibanez-style but I don't recognize the head...

Oh boy.....quite awhile. XD Shaping the blades took a long time because they had to be filed down on either side, since we didn't have the proper woodworking tools to find an easier way. XP But shaping the body completely was finished over a couple days, so it's still wasn't bad.

And yes, it is Ibanez! =D But altered. The tuning pegs on it originally were staggered, but since Marceline's are spaced equally on either side, we had to fill in the holes with wood putty and drill new ones for the pegs.
